• Hourly Pay: $34.28 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter, four times per year
• Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM for the first 90 days, then Tuesday-Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines, including:
• Routine maintenance like oil changes, brake, and tire work
• Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
• Major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, or fuel injection repairs
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• Other certifications as required by location

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to perform all T3 tasks
• Advanced analytical and repair skills
• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Availability for shift work, weekends, and on-call duties
• Preferred ASE certifications
• Proficient in operating diagnostic equipment
• Minimum tool requirements
• Ability to road test vehicles
• Ability to coach and mentor others

Driving Requirements:

• Must obtain CDL within 6 months if not already licensed
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks

Responsibilities:

• Complete OEM diagnostic courses and OEM training as required
• Perform vehicle maintenance, preventive, and complex repairs
• Use maintenance documents and diagnostic tools
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic issues
• Assist roadside breakdowns remotely
• Maintain shop and facility standards
• Interact with customers and drivers
• Mentor and coach other technicians
• Adhere to all safety and compliance guidelines
