Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in truck trailer maintenance.
  • Chauffeur's License required and CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of company equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic breakdowns.
  • Perform general equipment maintenance.

Mechanic, Class 8

As a Mechanic, Class 8, you will be responsible for building, rebuilding, and repairing all parts of company equipment based on departmental needs.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

  • Prioritize health and safety by following policies and safe practices
  • Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of company equipment as required
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic breakdowns
  • Read precision instruments such as voltmeters and multimeters
  • Perform general equipment maintenance
  • Use basic MIG welding for repairs when applicable
  • Operate equipment for repairs and installation
  • Comply with all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Support team and organizational needs with additional duties

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in truck trailer maintenance
  • Chauffer's License required
  • CDL preferred

Competencies:

  • Ability to work safely and alertly
  • Proficiency with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of truck systems
  • Understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record search
  • Reliable attendance
