Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Mechanic C in College Park, GA. This entry-level technician role focuses on learning branch procedures, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping our fleet ready for rental demand.

You will inspect engines, fluids, filters, batteries, and safety systems, perform oil changes and part replacements, and document work orders while adhering to safety standards. A basic toolset and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ownership of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple vehicles and equipment.
• Some knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; willingness to learn schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet following a branch-wide schedule.
• Oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication and related tasks.
• Inspect engines, belts, hoses, and cooling systems for leaks or wear.
• Enter work orders and maintain repair logs; support reconditioning of parts.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.
