Job Purpose

As a Mechanic B, you will be an expert technician, playing a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting fleet operations. You will mentor C-level mechanics and ensure equipment is rental-ready through effective maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

1. Perform preventative maintenance on all fleet equipment.
2. Operate and test equipment for quality standards.
3. Perform routine repairs with minimal supervision.
4. Diagnose issues with engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
5. Conduct major repairs using diagnostic tools.
6. Handle oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, and other services.
7. Manage warranty repairs and parts ordering.
8. Recondition and replace parts of heavy equipment.
9. Identify wear and tear issues.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
11. Produce service reports and repair logs.
12. Assist in training junior mechanics.
13. Follow all safety and procedural protocols.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of heavy equipment repair experience.
• Own a sufficient set of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Skills

• Ability to read technical schematics and manuals.
• Operate and test various equipment.
• Support data entry into systems.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate multiple vehicle types.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
