Job summary

Yellowstone Landscape is hiring a Landscape Equipment and Fleet Mechanic Assistant to repair and perform preventative maintenance on our fleet of landscape equipment. This role supports a busy shop environment and ensures equipment is reliable for high-profile commercial sites.

The ideal candidate has at least 2+ years of repair experience with mowers, small engines, 2-cycle equipment, and utility vehicles, plus a strong mechanical skill set and own tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years repair experience with mowers, small engines, 2 cycle equipment and utility vehicles.
• Strong mechanical skills including basic electrical and hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Experience with gasoline and diesel engines is a plus.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and service a wide variety of landscape power equipment such as mowers and utility vehicles.
• Operate in a shop with an inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly shop environment and follow PPE guidelines.
• Support safety culture and team goals at worksites.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Equipment and Fleet Mechanic Assistant. The Mechanic Assistant will repair and perform preventative maintenance on all company equipment.

What would my responsibilities be?

• Perform preventative maintenance and service a wide variety of landscape power equipment. This will include commercial mowers, 2 cycle equipment, utility vehicles, trailers and trucks.
• Operate in a shop where an inventory of spare parts and supplies are maintained.
• Operate safely and maintain shop in a clean, orderly manner.
• Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective --Equipment (“PPE”).

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• A professional with a minimum of 2+ years repair experience with mowers, small engines, 2 cycle equipment, and utility vehicles.
• Must possess a strong mechanical skill-set including knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mower technology and engines, both gasoline and diesel.
• Basic automotive repair experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have reliable transportation to the Branch or first job site
• Safe driving record and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report (“MVR”) a plus
