A busy custom manufacturing company, Averro, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler Technician in Kent, WA. The role involves designing, building, and assembling gas energy equipment with piping, tanks, pneumatics, gaskets, and basic electrical work.

Day shift; pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour DOE. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, enjoy building non-repetitive parts, and troubleshoot complex products.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, drawings, parts lists and gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials.
  • Positions parts by reading measurements and templates; assembles components for correct fit.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed assemblies and reading manuals when needed.
  • Resolves assembly problems by adjusting dimensions and consulting supervisors for resources.
  • Maintains a safe, clean work environment and adheres to 5S standards; documents actions in production/quality forms.

Job Description:

A busy custom manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and professional Mechanical Assembler Technician to design, build, and assemble custom gas energy equipment from the ground up. Equipment involves piping, small tanks, fasteners, pneumatics, gaskets, mechanical components, basic electrical wiring, and a variety of mechanical parts and pieces. The Mechanic/Assembler Technician is the key craftsman responsible for building all standard products and custom equipment. The breadth and diversity of the designs and projects that this company produces requires a team assembled with a corresponding wide range of skills, talents, and problem‑solving skills.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills and a positive attitude. This is the ideal job for people who like to build non‑repetitive things, troubleshoot and work on more complex products.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, sub‑assemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and sub‑assemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub‑assemblies.
  • Read and interpret Manufacturer’s component manuals, when necessary.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed assemblies.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying Lead or Supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Troubleshoots, figure out resources necessary for assistance, and overcomes obstacles.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, safety, and housekeeping standards. Actively maintains 5S standards.
  • Documents actions by completing production, training, and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manages stress during potentially varying workloads. Works well under deadlines.
  • Adjusts as required and displays willing flexibility to change. Demonstrates the ability to multitask.

Qualifications:

  • Automobile/motorcycle repair
  • Mechanics
  • Maintenance Mechanics
  • HVAC Installers
  • Diesel Mechanics
  • Instrumentation/Piping Installers
  • Military background – hands on mechanical. (Mechanics, motor pool, navy nukes, etc)
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college or vocational courses in Quality Assurance is a High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree from a vocational technical school preferred.
  • 2+ years previous manufacturing
