You will participate in preventative maintenance, learn safety protocols, and contribute to repair work across presses, washers and dryers as part of a dedicated maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Repair carts and perform routine maintenance on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers and press machines.
• Maintain slings and take on small projects as assigned by management.

Job description

Unitex is currently seeking a skilled Mechanic Apprentice to join our team in Newburgh, NY. This position is great for someone with mechanical abilities and has tremendous growth potential.

Compensation:

$18.00 /hour. The salary range for this position is $18.00/hour to $18.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.

Schedule:

Monday-Saturday 1:30PM -10:00PM, days off being Sunday and Monday.

To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract.

Responsibilities:

• Repairs carts, maintains slings, takes on small projects, and performs routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines.

Requirements:

• Strong desire to learn industrial laundry maintenance and grow within the company.
• Punctual and reliable a must
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
