Job summary

Unitex in Lawrence, MA is seeking a skilled Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines, with minimal supervision. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and full-time employment under a union contract.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborate with the team to plan upgrades and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or similar role in an industrial setting, preferably in the laundry industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; able to read manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, press machines) with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective downtime-reducing solutions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential problems and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Collaborate with team members to plan upgrades, installations, and modifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and parts inventory.

Unitex is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our team in Lawrence, MA.
Compensation: $32.00/hr to $37.00/hr. The salary range for this position is $32.00/hour to $37.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.
Schedule: To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract.

Requirements
