Fleet Mechanic

T he Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our company's fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain gasoline and diesel engines used to power equipment such as portable saws, lawnmowers, weed eaters, blowers, and trimmers.
• Adjust points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps, using feeler gauges.
• Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete.
• Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and greasing parts, and tuning ignition systems.
• Must be able to work externally in a variety of different conditions
• Answer service calls promptly

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional garage environment.

Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, crouch, bend, and lift.

Travel: Any travel will be within business hours.
