Job summary

Arnold Oil Company of Austin, L.P. is seeking a Mechanic I in San Antonio, TX, reporting to the Fleet Director. You will perform preventative maintenance, pre/post-trip adjustments, and repairs on gas or diesel engines to keep equipment operating safely and in DOT compliance.

The role requires one year of mechanic experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 60 lbs. Travel to multiple company locations for service calls is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year prior experience as a Mechanic.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
• Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip adjustments per DVIR or work orders.
• Repair brakes, clutch, pumps, electrical systems on gas or diesel engines.
• Schedule tire repairs and oil changes; maintain and service vehicles.
• Order parts, diagnose faults, and perform service calls as needed.
• May travel to different company locations for maintenance and repairs.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
