Job summary

Unifi, Inc. is seeking experienced mechanics in Reidsville, NC (27320, USA) to perform preventive maintenance and provide mechanical support to operations. Candidates should have 7+ years of manufacturing experience and be able to troubleshoot and repair a range of equipment, including motors, pumps, and conveyors.

CMMS experience and forklift operation are preferred. Night shifts include a $1.00/hr premium. We offer competitive hourly compensation and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and replace motors, pumps, bearings, etc.
• Welding experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and service requests with high workmanship.
• Provide mechanical support to operations as needed.
• Perform mechanical work with minimal direction.
• Account for parts used from storeroom to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Share knowledge with team to strengthen the department.
• Utilize CMMS for parts lookup, order entry and closure.
• Be on call and willing to work overtime as needed.

Description

We are seeking experienced Mechanics in Reidsville, NC!

How will you play an integral role?

• Completes PM and Service request in timely manner with excellent workmanship
• Provides mechanical support to operations team as needed
• Ability to perform mechanical work with minimal direction or assistance
• Account for parts used from storeroom to ensure parts inventory accuracy
• Share knowledge with team members to help develop and strengthen the department
• Utilize CMMS system - parts look up, entering and closing orders
• On call and willing to work overtime when needed to support operation

What is my earning potential?

We offer competitive hourly rates ranging from $30.00/hr. to $35.00/hr., depending on experience and education. In addition, our shift premium for our 12-hour night shift is $1.00/hr.

Are you qualified for the position?

• Seasoned and experienced mechanic with a minimum of 7 years of mechanical experience in manufacturing environment, electrical experience is a plus.
• Able to troubleshoot, repair, and replace the following: motors, pumps, bearings, drive rollers, belts, fuses, relays, gearboxes, valves, etc.
• Prior forklift, scissor lift, and industrial truck experience.
• Prior experience repairing and/or replacing large conveyor belts.
• Welding experience preferred, not required.
• Prior experience with CMMS system preferred.
• Prior recycling manufacturing experience preferred, not required.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 7 years of mechanical experience in manufacturing environment.

Experience

• Strong mechanical background, electrical experience is a plus.
• Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
