Job summary

Vac2Go in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a full-time on-site Mechanic to perform daily maintenance and repair on heavy vacuum trucks and related equipment. You will inspect systems, troubleshoot issues, execute preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and performance standards while coordinating with operations staff.

You will document work, support equipment turnaround for customers, and assist with parts identification and ordering.

Qualifications

• Strong maintenance skills, including general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial and heavy-duty equipment.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Hands-on background working with Heavy Equipment, preferably vacuum trucks or similar industrial vehicles.
• Proficient Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with operations, rental, and parts teams.
• Previous experience as a mechanic in industrial, construction, or fleet environments is highly beneficial.
• Ability to lift and move heavy components and work in varying environmental conditions as required by the job.
