Job summary

Pro-Vac is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to maintain our expansive fleet and keep communities served. You will organize work orders by priority, analyze equipment issues, and troubleshoot independently in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires heavy equipment experience, a proactive problem-solver mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow with the company. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs on engines and hydraulic systems, and participate in DOT inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment (minimum one year preferred).
• Experience working in a shop environment (at least two years).
• Proficient in using computer systems and applications to accomplish daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and major and minor repairs on a variety of equipment, including occasional welding and fabrication.
• Execute repairs on gas and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, brakes, hydraulic systems, suspensions, steering systems, and fuel systems.
• Complete Federal DOT inspections on commercial vehicles.
