Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivetrain systems.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and document findings and recommendations.
• Diagnose concerns using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and repair information.
• Complete warranty, customer-pay, and internal repair orders according to guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify concerns and verify repairs.
• Maintain productivity and ensure safety standards in line with dealership policies.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and management to communicate repairs and needs.
• Keep tools and work areas organized and safe; participate in ongoing training.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer and dealership vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to perform quality repairs efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and safety. You will report directly to the Reconditioning Manager.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical bulletins, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment background check.
• Must have a valid CA driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under shop insurance policy (Not an excluded driver)
• Bilingual, (Preferred but not necessary)

Essential Duties, but not limited to:

• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivetrain components.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and accurately document findings and recommendations.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and repair information.
• Complete warranty, customer-pay, and internal repair orders according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles as necessary to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency standards established by the dealership.
• Properly document repair procedures, labor operations, and parts usage.
• Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs to Service Advisors and management.
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and dealership procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and dealership training programs.
• Assist other technicians as needed to support department operations.
• Ensure repairs are completed accurately and meet quality standards before vehicle delivery.
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $18.00 to $25.00 hourly
