Job summary

United States Army is seeking a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic to keep the Army's wheeled and armored vehicles in peak condition. You will supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and recovery operations across a range of mission-critical platforms.

The role covers inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, replacing, adjusting and testing subsystems and components, including automotive electrical systems, wiring, starting and charging systems.

Qualifications

  • Inspect, service and repair wheeled and select armored vehicles.
  • Maintain automotive electrical systems and subsystems.
  • Perform diagnosis and testing to ensure mission readiness.

Responsibilities

  • As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles.
  • Inspect, service, maintain, repair, replace, adjust, and test vehicle subsystems and components.
  • Work with automotive electrical systems, including wiring and starting/charging systems.
