Job summary

The United States Army Reserve is seeking a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles. Responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, and repairing vehicles and their systems.

Basic qualifications include being a current senior in high school or having a diploma or GED, U.S. citizenship, and a driver’s license. Benefits include up to $50K bonus and 30 days paid vacation.

Job description

As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles and select armored vehicles that serve the Army in a variety of mission‑critical roles. You’ll inspect, service, maintain, repair, replace, adjust, and test wheeled vehicles, material handling equipment systems, subsystems and components, and automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and starting and charging systems.

Position Requirements
  • Attend Basic and advanced training (Paid).
  • Complete (ASVAB).
  • Maintain wheeled vehicles, their associated trailers and material handling equipment systems.
  • Inspect, service, maintain, repair, replace, adjust and test wheeled vehicles and material handling equipment systems, subsystems and components.
  • Service automotive electrical systems including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems.
  • Perform wheeled vehicle recovery operations.
Basic Qualifications
  • Education - Current Senior in High School (HS), HS Diploma, GED or higher.
  • Citizenship - U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident or greencard holder.
  • Submit to the background and medical screening.
  • Current Driver’s License.
