Job summary

Perimeter Solutions Group in McDonough, GA is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our diesel and gas powered trucks, trailers, and equipment. This full-time role offers a consistent 6:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule with a Monday–Friday workweek and competitive pay.

You will diagnose problems, perform preventative maintenance, complete DOT inspections, document repairs, and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Hands-on experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, fleet vehicles, and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, tire, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect, service, and repair small-engine equipment.
• Perform DOT inspections and help maintain fleet compliance.
• Identify potential mechanical issues before they become costly breakdowns.
• Document completed repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shop environment.
• Monitor and maintain parts and inventory levels.
• Coordinate major repairs and specialty work with outside vendors when needed.

Perimeter Solutions Group (PSG) is looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel and gas-powered trucks, trailers, and equipment.

What You'll Do

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Hands-on experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
• Basic computer or tablet skills for maintenance documentation
• DOT inspection certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Experience

• Diesel truck and trailer repair
• Small engine repair and maintenance
• Welding, fabrication, or related mechanical skills
• Experience maintaining commercial or construction fleet equipment
