Job summary

MV Transportation seeks a Mechanic to perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of transit vehicles supporting safe, reliable community transportation. This role handles preventive maintenance, troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, brake, and HVAC issues, and completes DOT-compliant inspections and documentation.

Working in a safety-focused, team-oriented shop, the Mechanic helps ensure vehicles are road-ready, responds to breakdowns, and supports continuous improvement in fleet

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• DOT inspection experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on transit vehicles.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine service tasks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, brake, and HVAC issues.
• Complete DOT-compliant inspections and documentation.
