Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is hiring a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain large diesel-powered equipment across our U.S. sites. You will perform diagnostics, troubleshoot systems, and ensure safe, compliant operation.

Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with company standards
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete work efficiently

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
