Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a skilled Millwright/Mechanic with hands-on experience in gas compression equipment.

The role requires work on compressors, engines, motors, and associated systems, with strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently under deadlines. The candidate should read drawings, use micrometers and dial indicators, and perform precise alignments and inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Read ENERFLEX standards and drawings.
• Knowledge of how gas compressors operate and function.
• Packaging Process and Gas Compression units.
• Self-motivated, perform high quality work under deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Mount and set reciprocating compressors and engines.
• Read micrometers and perform dial indicator checks.
• Perform couplings alignment using Opt-align and FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
• Install and level compressor cylinders and belts.
• Conduct flatness tests on frames using FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
• Read and understand compressor balance sheets.

Summary

ENERFLEX is seeking a skilled Millwright/Mechanic with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in gas compression equipment with proven ability to work on compressors, engines, motors, and associated systems. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and commitment to high-quality workmanship under deadline-driven environments.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Have 3+ years’ experience in reading drawings mounting and setting reciprocating compressors and Engines/Motors performing coupling alignments using Opt-align and FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
• Able to read micrometer and have experience with dial indicators.
• Able to heat and install couplings hubs confidently.
• Able to perform soft foot pull down checks on Compressor feet/Engine feet.
• Able to install and align cooler sheaves and belts.
• Able to perform flatness test on compressor frames using FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
• Able to perform rod run outs, cross head clearance checks, check and adjust piston end clearance.
• Able to install distance piece supports and perform proper lift according to manufactures specs.
• Able to install and level compressor cylinders.
• Able to read and understand compressor component balance sheets/lubricator blocks

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand ENERFLEX standards and Drawings.
• Knowledge and understanding of how gas compressors operate and function.
• Expert knowledge of packaging Process and Gas Compression units
• Ability to be self-motivated perform high quality work maintain a professional attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
