We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about machinery and has a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery. This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the buildings does not deteriorate.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues with equipment such as pneumatics and conveyors.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry or a related field.
• Proven experience in machining and mechanical procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources effectively.
