About the Automotive Technician Position

As an Automotive Technician with MPC Bus Corp, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing paratransit vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnosing and repairing brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Completing work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Assisting with mobile emergency repairs as needed.

Automotive Mechanic Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required –must obtain a CDL class C (training provided!)
  • 3 or more years of experience in automotive or diesel maintenance & repair OR equivalent technical school training
  • Must have a personal mechanic’s tool set
  • Willingness to participate in ASE certification program – training, testing, and bonuses provided!
  • Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason).
