Job summary

Forward Air Corporation in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a self-motivated Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This full-time role focuses on maintaining trailers and equipment while upholding FA policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include evaluating equipment status, performing minor repairs, tire work, inspections, and data entry in maintenance software. A valid driver's license and a basic toolset are required to perform effectively.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate status of mechanical equipment and trailers.
• Maintain equipment according to DOT regulations.
• Perform minor trailer repairs.
• Perform tire mounting/dismounting and repairs.
• Perform minor cosmetic repairs.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles, trailers, and systems to determine maintenance or replacement.
• Maintain regular attendance and keep tools and shop clean.
• Operate diagnostic instruments and various hand, electric, and air-driven tools.
• Maintain data entry in Maintenance Software to track repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Forward Air is looking for a self-motivated individual to join the maintenance team as a full-time Trailer Mechanic. Duties include maintaining all aspects of vehicles, trailers, and other mechanical equipment of Forward Air. This individual will be expected to do this while adhering to the compliance of all FA Policies, safe work practices, and maintaining high customer service.
