Job summary

TempStaff, Inc. is hiring a Mechanic to remove and inspect engine components, recording parts and equipment removed. Role requires operating forklifts and lifting equipment to move parts, with a focus on safety and quality in a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, supporting maintenance and dismantling operations, and ensuring documentation and procedural compliance across tasks. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical disassembly and inspection of parts.
• Ability to operate lifting and height-access equipment safely.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, and defects.

Role Description

The Mechanic is responsible for removing parts from engines, and components in accordance procedures. This position involves disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, warping, and other defects, recording removed parts and equipment. Supporting maintenance and dismantling operations in a safe and efficient manner. The Mechanic will operate forklifts, tugs, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes to remove and transport parts and equipment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, supporting quality initiatives, and performing other related duties as assigned. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Ability to work at heights of 15–20 feet or more
