MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
Overview of this role
We are seeking a safety-conscious and methodical Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you'll perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks on a variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment, with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, reliability, and continuous improvement. Your contributions will be integral to the success of the Asset Management function at Sunshine.

The work environment
This role is site-based, working on a shift or rotational schedule, and may require work on nights and weekends.
The duties of this role will require you to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, use hands to handle or feel objects and tools; reach with arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate clearly with others. You will be required to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 125 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision as well as the ability to adjust focus.
There is exposure to underground, surface, and workshop environments, with requirement to work at heights, in confined spaces, noisy areas, and in varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
