CAL BERKEY ENTERPRISES INC is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our repair shop. The Auto Mechanic will diagnose and repair vehicle performance issues, maintain shop equipment, and prepare cost estimates while keeping a welcoming environment for customers.

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly about vehicle issues, offer practical advice, and contribute to high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• ASE or SAE certification is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes.
• Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
