Loomis US is hiring for a Fleet Maintenance position. The role oversees service and repair of the company’s fleet, with preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and testing duties. You will drive various vehicles, manage parts inventory, and perform shop and facility maintenance. The job requires 5+ years in fleet maintenance, a valid license, and adherence to DOT/FMC standards.

The position is full-time, on-site, with an hourly pay rate of 30 USD and a 47–53 hour work week across five days.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license (C or better) and ability to drive various vehicle sizes.
• Meet FMCSA/DOT standards for brakes and annual inspections.

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour

Shift: 8am-6pm

Job Overview

This position is responsible for the Fleet Operations and Maintenance and reports to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and repair of all fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance (lube, oil change, replace belts, hoses, inspect brakes, repack bearings, check tires, on all size vehicles. Must perform per month.
• Diagnose and effectively repair mechanical, engine and electrical irregularities/malfunctions on all size vehicles.
• Drive automatic and standard shift vehicles for testing, transfer, and pick-up/delivery of parts.
• Perform inventory and order parts, supplies, as needed.
• Perform in-house maintenance for the facility.

Primary Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience (Preferably Dealership. Foreign/Domestic vehicle experience a plus)
• Possession of valid driver’s license (C or better) and ability to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles from 2,000 to 50,000 lbs. in size.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
• Must meet DOT standards to achieve brake and annual inspection certifications. A minimum of 1 year experience or a certificate from an approved training program.

Individual Skills And Competencies

• Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges (in English).
• Ability to write work orders, purchase orders.
• Ability to communicate verbally (in English) using telephone for ordering parts and supplies.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a semi-enclosed structure and outdoors.
• Environment involves chemical handling, gasoline/diesel fumes and intermittent high noise exposure.
• Exposed to wet and dry conditions in extreme heat and/or cold.
• Full-time schedule consists of an average of 47-53 hours per week for a 5-day period.
