Alltown Bus Company in Chicago is seeking a skilled mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair motor vehicles, including performing routine maintenance and replacing parts to ensure buses run safely and reliably. You will work with operators to discuss concerns and outline repair needs.

The role offers hourly pay of $25-$30 depending on experience, with ASE Certification bonuses and the potential for additional incentives.

Qualificações

Alltown Bus Company

A Mechanic is responsible for investigating problems with different types of motor vehicles and making repairs accordingly. Their duties include communicating with vehicle operators to discuss their concerns, carrying out routine maintenance procedures on motor vehicles and replacing parts on motor vehicles to promote their functionality.

Responsibility Profile

• Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues .
• Liaise with clients and drivers to determine their automotive requirements and communicate vehicular defects or problems .
• Provide routine inspections of vehicles and inform clients of any issues .
• Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested .
• Keep an accurate log of all work performed .
• Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
• Adhere to company work safety policies .
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of mechanic experience.
• High school diploma.

Compensation

$25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience

ASE Certification Bonus Program

• Beacon Mobility offers a paid ASE Certification Program with quarterly bonuses.
• Earn $35-$100 per quarter per certification , with total potential earnings up to $7,820 per year .
• We cover ASE test and registration fees after test-prep completion.
• Bonuses are paid automatically and included in regular paychecks.
• Additional $1,000 Blue Seal bonus available at qualifying locations.
