Job summary

Hammond Lumber Company in Belgrade, Maine, is seeking a full-time Mechanic to maintain delivery vehicles, forklifts, and company automobiles. The role includes occasional travel to other Hammond locations and operating material-handling equipment. Heavy lifting is required.

Candidates should have 2 years of mechanic experience on gasoline, propane, and diesel vehicles, plus at least 1 year welding and hydraulics experience, and a preferred CDL. USDOT testing compliance is required for applicants.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working as a mechanic on gasoline, propane, and diesel vehicles.
• 1 year of experience with welding and hydraulics.
• Clean and valid Class B or A driver’s license preferred.
• Final applicant must comply with USDOT testing requirements.
