Position

Apply your expertise as an Assembly Technician - Shipping and Receiving in Aiken, SC.

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and disassembling gearboxes, installing, aligning, adjusting, and fitting subassemblies. Experience working with large, heavy manufacturing equipment with the ability to run overhead crane and forklifts safely and efficiently. This is a 2nd shift position and reports to the department supervisor while working in a team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assembly and disassembly of all parts associated with paper machine rolls
  • Installing water cooling systems, cleaning, painting, box construction and repair
  • Operate carpentry tools, saws, presses, drills, forklifts, lifting devices, etc. with above average skill
  • Maintain a safe and clean working area is a must
  • All work must be accomplished within quality and time/cost standard requirements established by the order and the company
Expectations

To excel in the role you should have a solid understanding of the manufacturing environment. You balance a desire to support and work closely with customers along with your passion for development of cutting‑edge products.

Qualifications

A high school education with previous manufacturing experience; ideally a minimum of three to five years’ experience. Knowledge of papermaking machinery a plus, but not required. Willing to work with and train candidates with a high level of initiative and personal motivation.
