Job summary

ProMach’s Sentry Equipment division invites a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and continuously improve conveyor and packaging machinery. You will create CAD models, assembly drawings, and BOMs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, performance, and cost targets.

Base pay ranges from $75,000 to $115,000 with full medical/dental, life insurance, generous PTO, and a company-matched retirement plan; you’ll be eligible on day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, drive mechanisms, pneumatics, and materials.
• Experience with FEA, tolerance analysis, and mechanical calculations is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Design and develop conveyor and packaging equipment components and systems.
• Create and maintain detailed CAD models, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist in prototype builds, product testing, and system validation.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and mechanical systems based on engineering principles and performance requirements.
• Modify and improve existing products based on feedback, testing results, and performance metrics.
• Work closely with the assembly team to resolve mechanical issues and support installation activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry and safety standards.

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of conveyor and packaging machinery systems. This role involves creating engineering drawings, selecting components, supporting production, and ensuring products meet performance, quality, and safety standards. Mechanical Engineer works cross-functionally with other departments to ensure successful product development and implementation, while also supporting customer-specific customizations and product enhancements.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design preferred experience in conveyor or packaging machinery manufacturing is a plus
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drive mechanisms, pneumatics, and materials.
• Experience with FEA, tolerance analysis, and mechanical calculations is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
