Job summary

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professional Professor of Mechanical Engineering to begin Fall 2027. Candidates with backgrounds in solid mechanics, manufacturing processes, mechanical systems design, and/or rigid-body mechanics/dynamical systems analysis are sought.

The successful candidate will teach four to five courses per semester in undergraduate mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering technology

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required or ABD with degree conferred by appointment.
• Proven ability to teach in mechanical engineering areas listed (solid mechanics, manufacturing, design, dynamics).
• At least one year of university teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach four to five courses per semester in undergraduate ME and ME technology curricula.
• Engage in service responsibilities as part of the role.
