Job summary

Körber Supply Chain is seeking a Mechanical Applications Engineer in Atlanta, GA to design, price, and propose material handling solutions for customer opportunities. You will create concepts and manifests within customer requirements and assist in bid development from RFP to proposal submission.

Lead design efforts using customer data to craft system solutions, support pre-sales activities, and develop the Basis of Design, Process Flows, and related documentation. Travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical or application engineering in industrial environments.
• Experience with conveyors, automation, or intralogistics is strongly preferred.
• Ability to design, configure and assess mechanical solutions for customer needs.
• Experience supporting pre-sales and proposal development with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create concepts and material flow designs for RFP responses within deadlines.
• Support bid development from RFP receipt to proposal submission; write SOWs.
• Lead design efforts using client data to deliver system solutions.
• Provide technical expertise during sales and handoff to execution teams.
• Develop Basis of Design, Process Flow Diagrams, and Material Flow Diagrams.
• Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally as required.
