What the job involves
Support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, including automated packaging and distribution equipment. Mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment.
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all operations facilities.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Possible travel up to 20% of the time.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment.
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
Preferred qualifications
- Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in mechanical or electrical field.
- 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and safety standards.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
Physical demands
- Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting parts and tools averaging 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds.
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet, manual, wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
- Standing/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts.
- Working at heights (as stated previously).
- Pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ pounds.
- Maneuvering awkward or bulky equipment parts.
- Working in cramped positions under/behind machinery.

Estimated compensation: 62,400.00 – 63,044.80 USD per year.
