Herrmann Equipment Inc seeks an experienced Shop and Field Mechanic to join our Southern California team. You will work on a range of heavy equipment in shop and field environments, bringing hands-on expertise in asphalt pavers, milling machines, and rollers.

A strong focus on hydraulic and electrical diagnostics is essential, along with welding and tool readiness. We value independence, reliability, and pride in workmanship as you support a family-owned company with long-standing client

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with asphalt pavers, milling machines, and rollers.
• Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Welding and steel cutting experience required.
• Must supply a full set of mechanic tools.
• Clean driving record required.
• Ability to work independently in shop and field settings.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Shop and Field Mechanic to join our growing team at a well-established asphalt paving equipment dealership in Southern California. We prefer candidates with direct experience in the asphalt paving industry who are ready to work on a wide variety of heavy equipment in both shop and field environments. Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with asphalt pavers, milling machines, and rollers
• Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
• Understanding of 12-volt and 24-volt electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Welding and steel cutting experience required
• Must supply a full set of mechanic tools
• Clean driving record required
• Ability to work independently in both shop and field settings
