Your Role

Are you detail-oriented, a hard worker, and love to interact with people? Do you have, or would like to learn, wrapping freshly cut meats, pricing products, merchandising skills, and product presentation to grow sales? What You'll Do:

1. Welcome and greet customers, answer questions, help locate items, and provide recommendations.
2. Answer questions regarding types, cuts, and suggested preparation of meats.
3. Wrap, label, and package meats to keep them fresh and prevent spoilage.
4. Ensure displays and signage are accurate and attractive.
5. Weigh, package, label, price, and display products.
6. Perform quality inspections on meats and other products.
7. Adhere to food safety and sanitation controls.
8. Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
9. Cooperate with others to ensure customer satisfaction.
10. Use machines such as grinders or slicers to cut meat into smaller pieces.
11. Package meat cuts or poultry in boxes or plastic bags for sale.
12. Inspect products for damage or defects before wrapping them in plastic wrap or butcher paper.
13. Wrap meats in plastic wrap or butcher paper to keep them fresh and prevent spoilage.
14. Clean work areas and equipment after each use.
15. Store items in refrigerators or freezers until they are ready to be sold.
16. Slit plastic bags along seams with a knife or blade to make them easier to open.
17. Wrap meat in plastic or paper for storage or shipping to other locations.
18. Slice meat into thin strips using a band saw or other cutting device.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
