Job summary

Miniat is seeking a Trim Trainee for 1st shift. Starting pay is $16.35 per hour with a 90-day training period to learn trimming processes and meet product specifications.

Responsibilities include reviewing training materials, observing tasks, and performing repetitive practice to achieve throughput, quality, and safety standards under GMP, HACCP, and USDA guidelines. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Meat trimming or butchering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and USDA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and review training material.
• Observe task being performed.
• Perform tasks by repetitive practice methods.
• Ensure work meets throughput and yield standards.
• Meet Validation Matrix expectations for all ten cuts (Rate, Quality, Honing).
• Meet Validation Requirements/Expectations (Knife Skills such as Maintaining Blade Sharpness).
• Use tools: Flat Steel, Rounded Steel, Hook.
• Contribute to team efforts by performing other duties as assigned.
