Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks a Food Clerk to provide friendly, knowledgeable service and keep departments clean, stocked, and organized. You will assist customers, answer questions, and help locate products across Fresh departments in a fast-paced store environment.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with opportunities to grow through development programs and education assistance. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Comfort with using store technology and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
