Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) Apple Valley is seeking a part-time meat team member to cut, wrap, prepare, and stock meat and seafood while delivering a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include maintaining cases, assisting customers, handling shipments, and working varied day/evening shifts.

Candidates must be able to operate equipment, stand long hours, and have strong math and communication skills. Union benefits and a flexible schedule are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• On-going customer interaction with prompt, courteous service.
• Good judgment when supervision may not be available.
• Able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain meat and seafood cases.
• Perform meat and seafood cutting, wrapping, and preparation.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, cases, work area and sales floor.
• Assist customers with questions about product locations and suggestions.
• Answer department phone calls and refer as appropriate.
• Assist in ordering and receiving meat and seafood shipments.
