Job summary

Cube Cambridge is seeking a part-time Meat Team member responsible for cutting, wrapping and stocking the meat and seafood department while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities include maintaining cases, assisting customers, and processing orders with accurate labeling and safety in mind. Flexible evenings may apply; 18+ required; prior experience with meat equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with meat handling and equipment is required.
• Able to stand for long periods and walk long distances.
• Strong reading, writing and math skills for orders and labels.
• Must perform prompt, courteous customer service.
• Good judgment when supervision may not be present.
• Able to follow verbal or written instructions and request supplies as needed.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Job Overview

Cube Cambridge is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a part time meat position. Meat team members are responsible for cutting, wrapping, preparation, and stocking of the meat and seafood department and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain meat and seafood cases
• Perform meat and seafood cutting, wrapping, and preparation
• Clean and sanitize equipment, cases, work area, and sales floor
• Assist customers with questions about product locations and suggestions
• Answer department phone calls and respond or refer as appropriate
• Assist in ordering and receiving meat and seafood shipments

Job Requirements

• Experience operating equipment such as meat slicer and scale, intercom, telephone, racks, calculator, forklift, meat grinder, cuber, bulker, meat mixer, patty machine, tenderizer, pressure washer, etc.
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• Position requires ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service
• Good judgment as direct supervision may not be immediately available at times
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions
