Job summary

Yoke’s Fresh Markets in Mead, WA is seeking a dedicated Meat/Seafood Department Associate to provide welcoming, knowledgeable service and ensure high standards of product handling. You will assist guests, explain features, and help with preparation and packaging of meat and seafood items.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, offering recommendations, and supporting safe and efficient department operations.

Qualifications

• Education requirement specifies a high school diploma or GED, or related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide pleasant, efficient Meat/Seafood Department service to guests.
• Assist customers with product recommendations and information on features, promotions and services.
• Perform cutting, trimming, and basic deboning tasks per safety and quality standards.
• Operate department equipment safely and in accordance with policies.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff and support departments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
• Handle special guest orders accurately and on time.

Education

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
