Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in Ohio is seeking a Meat & Seafood Clerk to keep meat and seafood cases stocked, clean, and safe while assisting customers with purchases. You will rotate stock, ensure correct labeling, and maintain department standards with a friendly, energetic demeanor.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of grocery retail experience in meat department processes.

Responsabilités

• Keep meat/seafood cases clean and organized per department guidelines
• Stock, face, and price products; ensure accuracy of tags and pricing
• Monitor rotation and freshness; check for expired stock
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection at the meat counter
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for temperature/quality
• Display recipe cards and promotional materials at POS areas
• Operate equipment safely (knives, scales, wrappers, etc.)
• Maintain proper temperatures during meat production
• Prepare meat/seafood items with correct ingredients and cooking times
• Organize cooler/freezer with proper dating procedures
• Maintain safety when handling cutting tools and gear
• Support pre-inventory and back-stock processes
• Continuously develop product knowledge and preparation skills
• Ensure a sanitary, organized department appearance
• Take on other duties as assigned
