Job summary

Fresh Thyme Rewards is hiring a Meat Clerk to keep meat and seafood cases stocked and clean while assisting customers with purchases and selections. You will ensure timely restocking, proper labeling, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The role requires weekend and closing shifts with open availability preferred, offering competitive pay and benefits as part of a growing Midwest grocer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Meat department processes.
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of meat and seafood cases, storage area, and work area for sanitation and safety.
• Stock meat and seafood cases, present products, face shelves, check pricing and tags.
• Rotate inventory and discard expired stock.
• Assist customers with purchases, information and product selection at the meat counter.
• Weigh and package meat products, label with proper dating and pricing.
• Maintain proper safety practices while using cutting and packaging equipment.
• Support pre-inventory preparation and back stock; ensure organization and cleanliness.
