Job summary

Harris Teeter in Wilson, NC is seeking a part-time Meat & Seafood Clerk. You will process, package, and stock meat products according to Meat Standards, maintain clean work areas, and provide customer service, unloading stock and reloading salvage.

When assigned, you will perform duties of seafood clerk. The position requires a willingness to train, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and perform these operations using U.S. currency and weight measurements.
• Complete Company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process, package, and stock meat products according to Meat Standards.
• Clean work areas and provide customer service.
• Unload stock and reload salvage; perform duties of seafood clerk when assigned.
