Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a part-time Meat Apprentice at Piggly Wiggly. You will receive training from the Meat Cutter and managers to assist with cutting, display and selling meat and seafood, weigh packages, and help with daily tasks in the meat department.

You will provide courteous customer service, assist with special orders, maintain sanitation and food safety, rotate stock, and operate equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Provide courteous customer service in meat/seafood items and origin, handling techniques, and storage.
• Receive training from Meat Cutter and managers to cut, display, and sell products.
• Handle special orders and ensure proper packaging and condition.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and housekeeping procedures for a clean store environment.
• Maintain and rotate product in meat cases; operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Weigh each package to ensure customers receive correct orders.
• Assist in daily tasks in the meat department as directed by supervisors.
• Move product between coolers and cutting area and back, keeping workspace organized.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
