Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Utility Worker to support a high-volume meat production facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI. You will rotate through sanitation, packing, palletizing, and box-making areas to keep the production line running smoothly while maintaining GMP and food safety standards.

The role requires 2nd shift hours (3:45 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Monday–Friday, with many Saturdays) and involves lifting up to 50 lbs, completing repetitive tasks, and collaborating with a team in a refrigerated

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs continuously throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Read, write, and speak English to follow instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
• At least 1 year of work history demonstrating reliability and consistent attendance.
• Comfort working in a refrigerated production environment with temperatures around 30–40 degrees.
• Willingness to perform general production, packaging, and inspection tasks on a rotating basis.
• Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation procedures in a food production setting.
• Capability to work 2nd shift hours and overtime as required, including most Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through sanitation/pack-off, packing, palletizing, and box-making areas as needed to support production demands.
• Dispose of extra materials that will not be used in production in a safe and organized manner.
• Break down and dispose of incoming packages and labels according to facility procedures.
• Sort and separate waste streams into trash, cardboard, and plastic to support cleanliness and recycling efforts.
• Spray machines and containers with disinfectant and follow sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe food production environment.
• Assist with general production activities, including preparing materials, handling product, and supporting packaging operations.
• Inspect products and materials visually to ensure they meet basic quality and safety standards before packing.
• Support packaging operations by preparing boxes, packing finished product, and stacking or palletizing items for shipment.
• Follow GMP and all facility rules related to food safety, cleanliness, and personal protective equipment.
• Work a consistent 10-hour shift, performing repetitive tasks and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Communicate clearly in English with team members and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Adhere to overtime and scheduling requirements, including working most Saturdays and maintaining productivity across 50+ hours per week.
