Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer for the 1st shift at our Omaha, NE production facility. You will support the production line by handling hand tools, knives, and machinery to process meat products, while upholding safety, quality, and teamwork.

This physically demanding role requires standing for long shifts, working in cold and warm environments, and lifting up to 60 lbs. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Able to stand on concrete for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work overtime based on production demands.
• Work in cold areas (20-40 degrees) and warm areas (over 100 degrees).

Responsibilities

• Process meat products using hand tools, knives, and machinery.
• Maintain a safe, clean production line and follow safety procedures.
• Support coworkers to meet quality and productivity standards.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
