MEAT/MEAT CUTTER (Finance)

Perform general product preparation, clean-up, and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum requirements:

  • Willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
  • Ability to work with cleaning solutions, use sharp tools safely, and operate equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Calmly handle stressful situations and make positive impressions on associates and customers.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in meat work or food preparation.
  • Dependability and integrity in work record.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment, safety, and food handling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, and labeling meat products.
  • Maintaining accurate department temperature logs.
  • Storing and displaying meat safely and properly.
  • Checking product quality and freshness.
  • Keeping work areas clean and organized.
  • Providing excellent customer service and relations.
  • Unloading trucks, sorting orders, and stocking cooler areas.
  • Sanitizing equipment and maintaining health standards.
  • Engaging positively with customers and colleagues.
  • Adhering to company policies, especially regarding a harassment-free environment.
  • Managing conflict professionally and acting with integrity.
  • Supporting vulnerable populations as needed.
  • Performing all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
