You will lead a team in a warehouse/retail setting, maintain safety standards, coordinate receiving and displays, and drive performance through effective supervision and process discipline.

Qualifications

This role ensures department operations align with company standards, maintain high levels of product quality and freshness, and support overall sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the meat department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through proper stock control, rotation, and replenishment practices
• Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Supervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and performance expectations
• Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement
• Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address areas of concern
• Oversee receiving processes by ensuring incoming product is properly inspected for quality and accuracy
• Maintain overall department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with applicable regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in meat, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations
• Strong understanding of inventory control, product handling, and stock management
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Experience leading and managing a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a meat or perishable department
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and audit expectations
• Background in high-volume retail or wholesale environments

Work Environment / Expectations

Primarily warehouse or retail environment with temperature-controlled areas. Requires standing, walking, and handling products for extended periods. May require schedule flexibility based on department needs.
