MEAT/LEAD CLERK (Finance)
Position Summary:
Create outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and fresh environment that encourages our customers to return. Help achieve sales and profit goals for the department, and monitor all quality assurance standards. Supervise all functions and activities of the Meat Department in the Meat Manager's absence. Support daily Meat operations and promote the Customer 1st strategy, encouraging associates to deliver excellent customer service. Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Current food handlers permit upon employment
- Proficient knife handling skills and speed
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow all safety, food safety, and legal regulations and company policies.

- Create schedules to manage customer flow during operating hours.
- Train and develop associates, including inventory and stocking, and participate in performance reviews.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and making product suggestions.
- Demonstrate 'Journeyman' Meat Cutter Skills, cutting to customer requests with proper equipment.
- Inform customers of meat specials and offer samples.
- Provide ordered products in correct portions to minimize shrinkage.
- Use cutting tools efficiently to manage production and reduce waste.
- Stay updated on promotions and inform staff accordingly.
- Maintain merchandising standards and inventory conditions.
- Ensure accurate pricing and compliance with labeling laws.
- Assist with inventory processes as needed.
- Monitor and log case and cooler temperatures.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs.
- Report safety issues, accidents, and illegal activities.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
